The tree is revered in Africa where it is called the ‘tree of life’ for good reason; it is capable of providing shelter, food and water for the animal and human inhabitants of the African savannah regions.
A logo designed for MenAfriCar, a global research effort set up to study how meningococcal meningitis is spread in Africa. The logo reinforces the regional focus of the Consortium's activities and highlights the meningitis belt that stretches across Africa, where the epidemics occur.
