MenAfriCar (the African Meningococcal Carriage Consortium) is a global research effort to study how meningococcal meningitis is spread in Africa, and to document the impact of a new meningitis vaccine on reducing transmission

The global consortium, which is being led by the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, UK, combines the expertise of leading scientists from 12 centres based in Europe and America and 7 African partner institutions situated in the meningitis belt

Work has already started on the project, as you can see from the logo, and we will be looking at the most appropriate ways to facilitate networking and communication between all the partners after the web site is up and running.
