Amazing views at the inaugural MCDC meeting in Kilifi, Kenya
Following on from the MCDC meeting in Malawi I was kindly asked to attend the inaugural meeting at the KEMRI-Wellcome Trust research centre in Kilifi, Kenya to present all the work we have completed so far to the Steering Committee.
I was also there to train the senior researchers (MCDC investigators) how to use the Community web site and evaluate how the PhD students were getting on with the Community since the Malawi meeting in July.
Feedback from the students was extremely positive and everyone so far has found the Community web site very easy to use. Their recommendations for improvements include, amongst other things, creating a trusted data backup / store for their important documents and providing an auto save function.
Next steps include adding the students' supervisors to the network and providing each student with an easy and direct way to communicate with them.
